What is Little Discoverer?

Little Discoverer is a calm learning app for children aged 1 to 5. Children meet animals, hear their names and real sounds, find them among pictures, count them and follow simple spoken instructions. Everything is spoken aloud, and each session ends calmly after a few activities. It launches soon on the App Store and Google Play.

What age is Little Discoverer for?

Ages 1 to 5. A one-year-old taps a picture and hears its name and sound. From about 18 months children choose between two pictures. From age 3 they count, compare sizes and follow instructions with three pictures to choose from. You set the age per child and can make it easier or harder.

Is it a good calm learning app for toddlers?

That is exactly what it is built to be. There are no stars, points, streaks, timers, ads or flashing effects. One clear task per screen, everything spoken aloud, and a short session that ends with “all done” instead of nudging your toddler to keep playing.

Which languages does Little Discoverer speak?

English and Dutch, for both the app and everything spoken. You choose the language each child hears most. More languages, starting with German, French, Spanish and Italian, are planned.

When can I download it?

Soon. Little Discoverer is getting ready for the App Store and Google Play. This page will link to both stores the day it launches.

How much does it cost?

The planned price is €6.99, paid once in the App Store or Google Play. There is no subscription, no advertising and nothing to buy inside the app. Future content is included.

Are there in-app purchases or ads?

No. There are no in-app purchases and no ads, and children are never asked to buy anything or leave the app.

Does it work offline?

Yes. Everything is on the device, including the voices and the animal sounds, so it works without internet, for example in the car, on a plane or on holiday.

What data does Little Discoverer collect?

None. Children have profiles, not accounts: a nickname, an age, an animal symbol and a language, stored only on your device. The app contains no analytics, advertising or tracking code, and does not use the microphone, camera or location.

Can my child use it without reading?

Yes. Every question and answer is spoken, and a sound button repeats it. Discover is designed so a child who cannot read can use it completely.

Can I set it up for more than one child?

Yes. Add a profile for each child with their own age and language. The app asks “Who’s playing?” when it opens.

Does Family Sharing work?

Yes. Family Sharing will be on, so one purchase covers the people in your Apple family group.

How long does my child play?

A session is four activities for a one-year-old, five at age two, six at age three and seven from age four. Then it ends. We suggest playing together with the youngest.

Which devices does it run on?

It is coming to iPhone and iPad through the App Store, and to Android through Google Play.

What are the other Little apps?

Little Explorer (real-world missions), Little Talker (conversation starters), Little Words (words in two languages) and Little Thinker (logic puzzles) are in development. They will share profiles with Discover and follow the same promise.

Will there be a bundle?

Yes. When more apps are out, a Little Everything bundle with all five apps is planned for €24.99.
